Pinnaclife Inc. is an Iowa healthcare and nutrition company dedicated to improving the quality of life for every person in every country of the world. To do this, we have assembled a team of hard working and dedicated Iowans who are committed to the people and communities we serve. We have developed effective products proven in science. We have dedicated our time and donated millions to our community in hopes of bettering our state, and we have made a commitment to our clients that we will always provide the best quality products.
Our goal is simple and one that we have never veered from. We have worked diligently towards improving the quality of life for people in every country for the past two decades. As Pinnaclife Inc. grows as a company, we hope to continue to partner with others who share our dreams and visions and adhere to the same standards of community service and business integrity we value.
Pinnaclife was founded by Dr. Darlene and Dr. James McCord. As a leading scientist in the field of epigenetics and cellular biology, Dr. Darlene McCord is known for her work as a biochemist in skin and wound care. She has been issued two patents and six medical devices in the field. Her Remedy line of skin care products is currently the number one selling skin and wound care line in hospitals, nursing homes, home health and long-term care facilities in North America. She is the author of the book Living Well at One Hundred, and she serves on the faculty for the American Professional Wound Care Association.
A Legacy of Caring
In 1992, Dr. Darlene McCord and her family were unfortunately delivered news that has since become a devastating reality for many families around the world. Her mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. While some might have collapsed in the face of adversity and the thought of losing a parent, Dr. McCord looked at what was happening to her mother and said, “I can fix this.” This fight gave Dr. McCord’s life new meaning. She, along with her husband Dr. James McCord, founded McCord Research. Her mother sadly lost the battle with cancer, but in her memory, Dr. McCord set out on her mission: to improve the quality of life for people in every country of the world.
In 2004, Dr. McCord developed Olivamine®. Olivamine® is a combination of small molecules that act synergistically. Potent antioxidants were combined with amino acids and their co-factors to create a single ingredient providing micronutrients that may be necessary for health. In clinical research conducted over the past seven years and presented at peer-reviewed meetings and in peer-reviewed journals, it has been demonstrated when used in a medical setting, Olivamine-based skin care products produce faster healing times.
Before Dr. McCord could even take a moment to celebrate the success of Olivamine® and the recognition of McCord Research in both the scientific and medical worlds, she was faced with yet another, sadly ironic turn of events. In late 2004, Dr. McCord herself was diagnosed with breast cancer. Refusing to let cancer steal her identity, she used her diagnoses to further her mission. Inspired by the results of the Remedy skin care line, she began researching the effects of Olivamine when taken orally. She theorized Olivamine® would have similar healing effects internally as it did externally. Dr. McCord had Olivamine® produced as an oral supplement, and in late 2009, Pinnaclife Inc. was born.
Pinnaclife Inc. began as a supplement company that provided the general public with Dr. McCord’s Olivamine® based products. Unlike other supplements on the market, Pinnaclife supplements were scientifically engineered to accompany healthy diets and provide a perfect balance of nutrients medical professionals could feel confident supporting and recommending. As the supplement line grew, more and more results poured in from both at-risk patients being treated in anecdotal trials as well as from the University of Iowa lab which was funded by Dr. McCord to explore the results of components of Olivamine® on human cells. Dr. McCord and the team at Pinnaclife took one step closer towards realizing their goal.
Today, the Pinnaclife team is joined by a group of health conscious and socially responsible medical professionals and retailers, and our goals seem even more attainable. As we grow as a company, we reach out to those who can see and share our goals with us. In turn, we’ve seen incredible growth in recent months.
By supporting health initiatives and education efforts around the world, our philanthropic arm is able to stretch further as we work towards our mission of improving lives.
