Educate. Inform. Support.

Philanthropy is a crucial part of Pinnaclife. Improving the quality of life for people in every country of the world is often more than just creating life-changing products; it’s a commitment to supporting the communities and causes that have influenced our growth as a company and as people.

Through their hard work and generosity, the McCords have been able to outstretch the philanthropic arm of McCord Research and Pinnaclife. In addition to supporting community efforts of organizations like the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The American Heart Association, Glida’s Club Cancer Support Community and the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, they also fund the activities in four more areas: The Pinnaclife Racing Team of Southern California, athletics at the University of Iowa, research fellowships in the University of Iowa biosciences department and independent labs working on researching the Buruli Ulcer.

The Pinnaclife Racing Team of Southern California is a team of nationally ranked amateur and professional cyclists, all but two of whom are over the age of fifty. Promoting health and wellness and serving as an inspiration to athletes across the nation, the McCords and Pinnaclife proudly support the endeavors and successes of the Pinnaclife Racing Team.
Holding three degrees from the University of Iowa and being a lifetime fan of the football program, Dr. James McCord has always held the athletics department near and dear to his heart. College athletics build character and bring out qualities of determination, hard work and teamwork in students that not only lead to success on the field, but also in the classroom and in the boardroom. The McCords were honored for their contributions to the University of Iowa Football program, the Rowing team and the Cheerleading team.

By funding the important research of scientists, the McCords and Pinnaclife are able to support and put their name behind science that is changing the face of medicine and healthcare for our generation. Without the necessary research dollars, much of the work of the world’s most brilliant minds may go unrealized. The research and results that pour out of the Iowa Biosciences Department are providing answers to the questions of those committed to improving health and wellness around the world have been asking for decades.

The McCords are also pleased to support The McCord Research Buruli Ulcer Foundation. This foundation funds the research at The Merritt Lab at Michigan State University as they investigate the links between biting aquatic insects and the transmission of the Buruli Ulcer in West Africa. Funding is also provided to the Pamela Small Lab at the University of Tennessee and to the scientists there who work to find a cure. The McCord’s also provide the skin care products used to treat the disease. Children under the age of fifteen account for 75% of all Buruli Ulcer cases. By supporting this foundation, the McCords and Pinnaclife are working towards saving the lives of children and giving hope to those who before had none.

Philanthropy is a part of our culture at Pinnaclife and those companies who do business with us know they too will be an instrumental part of improving the quality of life for others around the world.
